Mushroom Matar Masala is a quick and easy to make recipe.
If you love mushroom you must try this. Its made with white button mushrooms and green peas.
its a perfect lunch gravy and goes well with roti or naan.

INGREDIENTS
- 1-2 tbsp cooking oil or clarified butter/ghee.
- 1 tsp cumin.
- 1 tbsp grated giner garlic
- 1/2 cup onion chopped.
- 3/4 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 tbsp salt (add to taste).
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tsp roasted gram flour
- 2 tbsp yogurt / curd.
- 1/2 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves.
- 1/3 cup peas.
- 2 cups mushroom.
- 1 tbsp heavy whipping or fresh cream.
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a pan add cooking oil or ghee.
- Add cumin in heated oil.
- Add grated ginger garlic and sauté for 1-2 min.
- Add onion and sute until golden.
- Add tomato puree and salt.
- Cover and cook until tomatoes are mushy and oil starts to separate.
- Add dry spices - turmeric, red chilli powder , coriander powder and cook for 1-2 min.
- Add roasted gram flour , this will give which base to the gravy.
- Its optional to add gram flour , you can skip it if yo do not want thick gravy base.
- Add yogurt/ curd and continuous stir for 1-2 min.
- Add dried fenugreek leaves and peas.
- Add some water and cover for 2-3 min.
- Add Mushroom once the peas are soft and cooked.
- Add some more water if desired and cook for 1-2 min.
- Now cover and cook for 3-4 min.
- Add some fresh cream and your dish is ready.
- Enjoy.
NOTES
- After adding yogurt/curd in the mix , continuous stir on low heat , otherwise the yogurt might split.
